Our story

         Hey there Mainers, it's Kate & Tanner. The question we get the most is "how did you get into tinting windows?"

It all began in mid/early 2021. At the time we knew what we wanted, but we didn't have a clear vision. Tanner was doing mobile sandblasting and Kate was in college. Both of us were weighing out our options to decide on a long term life path when an opportunity to try out automotive window film came about.
 
After giving it a try, Kate realized that to professionally install window film she would need some quality training from a true tint veteran. This is when she went to a formal training in Portland ME, to learn from Justin M and his team at Sun Stoppers. With their combined 40 years of industry experience it is safe to say that she learned from the best.

When she returned from Portland, one thing lead to another and she was slingin' film every day! It was a great first summer. We were freeway cruising at 100 mph! The following winter, we had the opportunity to relocate to a larger area - New Hampshire. So we packed up, moved everything south, and began to offer what the tint industry calls "flat glass." Flat glass is a term for residential and commercial window tint.

Coming into our 3rd year in New Hampshire, we had a couple of realizations. One was that in the long term, window tint is far less taxing on one's health than sandblasting/surface preparation, so Tanner started to transition out of blasting. The other was that New Hampshire just wasn't the same as the county and a big part of us wanted to be back home. So we decided to come back here to offer our skill and knowledge, looking to help those in our hometowns with sun solutions for their homes and businesses.
